it feel to be the most
searched athlete in the world.
Anna Kournikova: Thanks, Well I think that's it's pretty amazing, it's
really exciting, it's really
hard to describe.
Anna Kournikova: And when I got the trophy, it was really pretty!
Anna Kournikova: I would like to thank my fans, who look me up on the
Internet, it's what was made
possible for me to be number one there.
jhunted: Anna my question to you is, what are your plans for the future? Do
you intend playing
tennis until a ripe old age of 30 or do you fancy a career in
Entertainment? I may just have an

Anna Kournikova: I've been playing tennis since I was 5, and I'm only 19,
so hopefully I have a long
tennis career in front of me.
Anna Kournikova: Right now, I'm going to concentrate on tennis, it's what
I've been working for all
my life.
Anna Kournikova: And for everything else, there will probably be some other
time after.

was surprised to see a
mention of you being in that new movie starring Jim Carrey. Is it true? If
so, what did you think of
Mr. Rubber Lips in person?
Anna Kournikova: Yes. Well I didn't actually get to meet him. We were
filming the scenes while he wasn't there.
Anna Kournikova: It was a lot of fun filming a movie, but it was really
short.
Anna Kournikova: I haven't seen it myself yet, but they tell me it looks
good.
jhunted: Anna what do you think of the internet on the whole? How often do
you find the time to use
it?
Anna Kournikova: Well right now, I don't really have much time, because I'm
in America, and I have a
few friends and we do things, but usually when I am away in Europe or
Australia or Japan, I use it a
lot.
Anna Kournikova: I use it more during the winter.
RoXiE_ZeRoX: Have you ever been to Ireland? Do you intend to come,,,its
very beautiful you know!
Anna Kournikova: No, I've never been there, but I've been in the airport!
{laughs}
Anna Kournikova: One day hopefully, I will, but there are no tennis
tournaments, so it will have to
be after my tennis career.

lexdiamondsatf: If you had one wish, what would you wish for?
Anna Kournikova: It's a tough question, but I would just like to stay
healthy, because I think that's the most important. I think that we should
value the importance of being healthy.
Anna Kournikova: Seeing so many people sick makes you realize that you have
to take care of yourself and of others.

Hello Anna, I really enjoy watching you play. I watch the matches at Amelia
Island. My question
is this. How do you feel about your fans approaching you or speaking to you
in public. I have had the chance once and passed because I did not want to
intrude. I admire your grace and skill and hope you have your big break
through this season.
Anna Kournikova: Well, you know, it's always about the timing, because you
know sometimes before the practice, I'm still concentrating.
Anna Kournikova: Before the match it's even more important, you really have
to keep your focus and concentrate on what you're doing.
Anna Kournikova: But after the match, of course I'm signing autographs for
all the kids and people, as many as I can.
Anna Kournikova: Most important is, before the match or the practice is
really kind of tough.
AndyL723: Anna - David Letterman has been talking A LOT about you. I watch
him every night. Do you plan on doing his show?
Anna Kournikova: I don't know...that's the first time I hear that he's
talking about me! {laughs} But I guess it's something too funny.

keyinvgr: I am a young tennis player and I would like to know how you keep
motivated during practices.
Anna Kournikova: Well you've just got to know that that's your main focus.
Anna Kournikova: Tennis is my main focus, I have nothing else.
Anna Kournikova: Practicing and getting ready for the tournaments is my
life.
anna_nick: Anna, we've been fans of yours since we started our fan club in
1998, (www.annak.org get our plug in from all our members ;)) when you did
so well at Wimbledon on debut we felt you were a future number one. Of
course, we still do. Is it an ambition of yours to be the number one, and do
you truly believe it will happen?
Anna Kournikova: Well, yeah, I think everybody that plays believe that they
can be better than they are.
Anna Kournikova: I think that everybody that plays wants to be the best that
they can be.
Anna Kournikova: Everyday I am moving forward and getting better, and I
hope that I can continue to work and improve and get experience, because it
helps.
Anna Kournikova: And hopefully I can become the best that I can be.

Anna Kournikova: It is, it's really fun, it's pretty exciting, there are a

Anna Kournikova: It depends on the mood, if I'm really tired and I want to
relax, it's more soft and
slow, R&B.
Anna Kournikova: If I have a match in the morning, it's fast, there's not
one particular artist that
I like.
Anna Kournikova: Everyone has a lot of good songs.
cav22: What do you like to do when you aren't practicing??
Anna Kournikova: I usually go to the gym or get a massage, or go swim in
the pool to relax my muscles, or just be in my room.
Anna Kournikova: Pack, unpack, walk the dog. Read magazines in
airplanes...like that.
god777: Anna, at what age do you think that you will reach your peak in
tennis?
Anna Kournikova: Well, you can never plan anything you know, you never know
what's going to happen
today or tomorrow.
Anna Kournikova: I just keep working really hard, and hopefully, it will
come soon.

chatting with tennis superstar Anna Kournikova.
rwisnuw: Hi Anna! With all the travelling you're doing where do you consider
is your home?
Anna Kournikova: Well, that's the question I've been asking myself.
Anna Kournikova: Right now, I probably travel ten or eleven months a year.
Anna Kournikova: It's difficult to say where I am, but I have homes in
Moscow and Miami.
adidas_jewel: Would you rather win a grand slam or an Olympic medal first?
Anna Kournikova: Well I think that in tennis, it's probably a grand slam,
if it's athletics, of course, Olympics. {laughs}
mikeak81: Is that right that you collect dolls from every country?
Anna Kournikova: I never collect any dolls.
Events Moderator: I hate to say it everyone, but we have to wrap this up in
a few minutes. But hey, this has been a lot of fun and a real pleasure to
meet Anna!! OK folks, we will take just a few more comments or questions.
PatrickBARNS: What is your favorite food?
Anna Kournikova: Well, it depends, sometimes I see something and I like it.
Anna Kournikova: But definitely chocolate, I like chocolate brownies, fruit,
I like ice cream,
fruity ice cream and I like Russian food, of course!
islandrifter: Who would you most like to meet Anna??
Anna Kournikova: Well, that's a tough question, I have a lot of people that
I would like to meet, I wouldn't want to name just one.
Anna Kournikova: Because they are all unique in their own way.
cstrassburger: Where do you get your new Yonex bag? I like it!
Anna Kournikova: I got in when I was in Tokyo in February. It's the new
line of Yonex bags.
T3: what is you're favorite part of the world?
Anna Kournikova: Well there's quite a few.
Anna Kournikova: I like Moscow, I like Miami, I like big cities to
play...Tokyo, Paris, London, New York...
MaxBikini: Anna - anymore more movie roles on the horizon?
Anna Kournikova: Well...you shouldn't know! {laughs}
Jeeni: What would you like to do once in your life
Anna Kournikova: That's a very hard question...I really don't know what the
answer is.
Anna Kournikova: There are too many things that I still haven't tried.
sandheel111: What sports besides tennis do you like?
Anna Kournikova: Well, I like to watch basketball, football, soccer
sometimes.
god777: Anna, do you have a mentor on the tour......like Venus Williams?
Anna Kournikova: Yes, I do, Cathy Rinaldi.
Anna Kournikova: We spend some time talking, and we see each other.
T3: Do you think that tennis has changed a lot over the last 20 years?
Anna Kournikova: Yeah, I think that it has become very interesting with the
different generations right now, with the players that have won everything
that they could
possibly win and those that are just coming up.
Anna Kournikova: I think that's what makes tennis so special now, with the
different styles of playing and the different generations.
eamon: Anna do you do a lot of charity work
Anna Kournikova: Yes, I've done just about two weeks ago the charity at
Buckingham Palace in London, children's charities, to stop abuse of
children.
Anna Kournikova: I've also done some work for breast cancer foundation.
cstrassburger: Are you excited about playing in the US Open in NY?
Anna Kournikova: Definitely, I'm really excited because last year I had a
stress fracture in my foot and I couldn't play.
Anna Kournikova: I couldn't play for three months last year at this time,
so this is exciting for me.
Anna Kournikova: As I said, New York is one of my favorites cities, one of
the first that I played, so I have some great memories from there.
cav22: Are you able to do things that a normal 19 year-old like going to
movies and things like that????
Anna Kournikova: Things like what! {laughs}
Anna Kournikova: Yes, sometimes when I have free time I got to the movies,
but I enjoy my life, I enjoy traveling and playing.
Anna Kournikova: That's what I love to do, travel and play.
god777: Anna, would you consider being a coach, after you have retired?
Anna Kournikova: It's way long, too long before retiring, but I just
started my career, so it's too long to say something right now.
